Meet Kate
Facilitator and Certified Individual and Team Coach
My background
My experience in tech
I’ve worked in tech for more than 20 years as a manager, mentor, senior IC, and product leader in UX content design at nonprofits, agencies, startups, and fortune 500 companies.
I’ve led mission and vision work and facilitated large-scale, high-visibility product design sprints for companies like Meta and Microsoft. I've facilitated team building, leadership, and product innovation workshops.
My education & credentials
I have a master’s degree in education, coaching certification from Hudson Institute and ICF (PCC), and team coaching certification from the Team Coaching Studio. I earned certification as a master sprint facilitator at the Design Sprint Academy in Berlin. And I’m an active volunteer with HCN, the Humanitarian Coaching Network.
My time in the classroom
As an educator, I’ve taught at Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle Central College, and the School of Visual Concepts, and guest lectured at the University of Washington and Antioch University Seattle'a graduate program.
What I've come to know
I understand the challenges of high-pressure work environments, how to stay centered in what you know while continuing to evolve and advance, how to lead by trusting your intuition and amplifying other voices. I know what it means to balance work and a personal life, and walk the fine line between bringing your authentic self to work and maintaining healthy boundaries.
I also understand how important it is to invest in your own creativity and growth, make space for your physical and mental health, and to be active in your relationships and communities.
